What is Reiki?
Reiki is a safe and natural healing method that can be used at the same time with medical or other therapeutic treatments.
Reiki is a Japanese word, and the translation is “Universal Life Force Energy”. A Reiki practitioner can access this energy and flow it into the client to begin the healing process. The practitioner’s hands can be on the client or hovering over them while giving Reiki.
We are all energy, and it can become out of balance. One of the reasons energy becomes out of balance, is when we have negative thought patterns creating energy blocks. This can manifest in our body as illnesses or discomfort. Reiki can help by removing the energy blocks allowing energy to flow throughout your body again.
Reiki is not a substitute for professional medical treatments, but can be used as a complementary treatment.

How is it given to the client?
The client is fully clothed and can be lying down or sitting on a chair. Reiki is given by laying the hands on the client or simply hovering the hands over them. Reiki then flows from higher source through me and into your body. Nothing is manipulated or forced into your body – your body simply “drinks” the Reiki it needs. I’m only the channel for the Reiki to flow.
How does it feel to receive Reiki?
Everyone responds to Reiki differently. You may experience a warm feeling on specific parts of your body, or your muscles may twitch while receiving Reiki. Some people may experience emotional healing from a traumatic past, and tears may be shed as they release what was weighing them down. Some simply fall asleep as soon as the treatment starts, and wake up feeling extremely calm and refreshed. See testimonials to read what my clients experienced during and after their Reiki sessions.
What do you, as the practitioner, experience while giving someone Reiki?
My hands are generally cold, but during Reiki they heat up and get extremely warm. All my clients have commented that it is a comforting feeling when my warm hands are placed on them in the Reiki positions. I also feel Reiki coming out of my hands, and feel the Reiki flow strongly when part of a client’s body really needs it. When something that is no longer serving your highest good is released, my hands sometimes twitch.
